plasmodium reproduces by both asexual and sexual method . It is a digenetic species that completes its life cycle in two hosts. the primary host is femaleanopheles mosquito where sexual reproduction occurs by fusion of male and female gametocytes. then in human body where asexualy they repoduces by the method of fission.
