The community which is near equilibrium with the environment is called Climax community. This is the last stage of change of any community in an environment during an ecological succession.This term was coined by Hult in 1885. This community shows a dyanamic balance with the environment.
One community is replaced by another community till final stable community formed, this stable community known as climax community. This process is too slow.
The community which is stable…that which do not change after time.
In a succession the climax community is the final community .in most of the succession case forest is the climax community.
