I will suggest you to take sample paper of arihant and you can also make question by reading the topic , take your test then you can understand in which topics you are weak and you have to focus

Additionally, you can also practice few previous year questions and get it checked by someone [your mentor or teacher] to get an overview on your style of writing and you can also know by this whether your answers are mark fetching or not. And you can follow their instructional according.
I would also suggest you to include diagrams in your answer, if needed. And always try to directly answer the question to the point. Their is no need to fill too much pages for getting more marks in a answer you should write the most exact points. To get good marks in biology you have to make such diagram that can explain your answer itself and with such diagrams you can add some exact points as discussed above.
Beside it, you can make tables, graphs, flow charts, etc to briefly describe your answer.
