Mass floor is a way in which nutrients move in the roots due to transpiration which stimulates the movement of water from the roots.
As water moves inside the roots , nutrients will take chance to move with the water in a solution. Mass flow is affected by rate of water uptake and movement, concentration of nutrients in the soil and tempreture of the soil and atmosphere.
When the rate and movement of water is higher nutrient uptake by roots will increase. When the concentration of nutrients in the soil is high the roots will have a higher chance of absorbing a large amount of nutrients. When the
When the tempreture in the atmodphere is low the transpiration is at minimum and the water uptake in the roots is lowered hence the nutrient uptake is lowered as well and in the soil at low tempretures the mobilty of water is decreased which results in slow rate of water movement therefore nutrient uptake is reduced.
